Three hours plus of my life wasted with yet another chess game ending disastrously! Why do I bother?
I was pretty certain the position reached was a draw and I kept telling myself that I mustn’t put the Bishop ‘offside’ as it were… Just shuffle the King and thereafter make ‘sensible’ moves.
So, with only a handful of seconds on my clock I panicked and guess what? Yup 45. … Bh4?? 46. Nf6 1 – 0.
And yes, Nalimov Tablebases confirm my gut feeling the position is a draw.
