Whether you agree with him or not (and whether you can watch it with the sound turned on, especially around the 8:50 mark!), it is not the best game of 2016-17 played by a Bedford player! Every year, before the AGM at the end of June, we hold a ballot for the best game and the winner is awarded something special (which escapes me for the moment!). If you only vote in one election this year, this should be the one!?
The candidate games are those appearing on the website games page at the start of June. Currently, there are some 21 games on the page which is a pretty feeble showing given our current flourishing membership. Every member must have at least one (but more is good!) game they would like to share with the masses. I am particularly interested to see games of our newer members from the juniors in the D team to the top board of the A team.
For those of you unfamiliar with the format, and as a reminder to others who pretend they don’t know, any game you have played this season in any competition anywhere will qualify – brilliant, funny, ridiculous, important or insane are some of the qualities that could win the prize.
You can annotate them or not, pgn is preferable but I’ll accept anything, but please send them to me NOW! (or within the next 6 weeks anyway)
