Life after BCCexit

In part two of our series exploring “whether one-time Bedford Chess Club players can hack it in other clubs, especially ones that don’t have cheap beer and loud juke boxes, and more to the point whether they themselves will be tolerated”, Chris Hill introduces us to the joys of playing for his new club, Grantham.  The notes are mostly his although I have interjected a couple of times and inflated any game losing ‘?’ to ‘??’.  Note in particular how Chris toys with the emotions of his new team mates, as he alternately wins and loses the game in a whole sequence of suspect moves, before heroically securing the match-deciding draw.

  1. Thanks Steve – the mysteries of web chess…
I love c7 – “Redo last undo” – only a really sad chessplayer would even know what that might mean!

  2. Not silly at all Gerry – click on e7 to flip board – f, shift f on the keyboard also works I believe. Not very intuitive so if you click on g8, it show you all the square shortcuts for the pgn player. Similarly, f8 displays all the keyboard shortcuts.

  3. Steve – silly question – can you put an option in to switch the viewpoint from white to black?
