Luton are the league’s current yoyo team, oscillating between struggling with the giants of Div 1 and feasting on the minnows of Div 2. The result was the expected one, but it doesn’t fully represent the evening’s events.
Qais, Diego and Ben C all looked fine whenever I took a superficial glance at their positions.
Ben P failed to sac a pawn in the opening, and was therefore out of his comfort zone until he found a totally unsound piece sac instead.
I was slowly outplayed, but maybe had some chances. I’ll find out on my long train journey to Glasgow tomorrow.
At one point Peter Gill was suggesting the end result might be 3-2. I wish it had been, but at least we made them work for their wins, which was all I asked of my team.

A lovely post, as is always the case with Steve’s great site. Hopefully Luton will have an additional player as of next week!
I hope so too Mark. Bon voyage if you’re well enough to travel!
