Open University 2-3 Bedford D

A jet-lagged Qais played aggressively (pawns on c4 to f4), but blundered in a complicated middlegame.

My insipid black opening scored one of the occasional wins that keeps it alive and kicking.

Callum castled towards a Q-side where he already had a vulnerable-looking pawn on b5. He then rather carelessly allowed Bxb2+ with a discovered attack on his queen on c4, and it was all over.

Ben claimed his game was a blunderfest. More details when I get time to look at his scoresheet.

David scored another of his now quite regular victories. His grade should nearly triple when the next list is published.

After a tough first couple of games this was a fine victory for the D-team.
