At last night’s AGM it was agreed to hold the following light-hearted events during July:-
- 10th – Time and Material Handicap (organised by Peter G)
- 17th – Endgames (John)
- 24th – Variants (Joe)
- 31st – Gambits (Steve L)
Unlike previous years, the club will stay open during August for anyone who fancies a game of skittles.
Also, look out for an email from Steve L inviting you to a Curry Night in August.
September will see the return of the e2e4 Bedford Chess Congress (no details yet other than the dates 19th to 21st) – this was rather unexpected last year so let’s make sure we are well-represented this time around.
No, 5th to 7th September is Sunningdale.
