The annual British Chess Championships are about to begin in Liverpool. A number of Bedford Chess Club players will be competing:-
- Jack Hale – Under 16
- Ramsey Dairi – Under 14
- Daniella Dairi – Under 10
- Steve Ledger – Over 50 (Steve’s brothers Dave and Andy are also competing in the Championship)
- Paul Habershon – Over 65

Yes, it’s likely that all our moves will be on ‘live boards’ with a 15-minute delay. The moves go direct to li.chess which simultaneously produces
evaluation and analysis as the game progresses. Starting with the link given above it takes a bit of clicking and scrolling to reach the game you want.
The British Championship proper with Andy and Dave Ledger starts at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday. The junior championships with Jack, Ramsey and Daniella start on Sunday morning and the old guys, Steve Ledger (O-50) and me (O-65) start at 2.30 p.m. on Monday.
