Jack’s opponent failed to appear, so we started a point ahead.

Mike’ s game looked fairly even, until he suddenly took control and broke through on the King-side. With the loss of a piece imminent, Julian resigned.

Richard had the better of his game, but was unable to convertit into a win, and a draw was agreed.

Paul’s run of poor form continued, as he lost to newcomer Abiodun Nelson.

I had a long, drawn-out game (again), which went on more than 70 moves.  I had stopped recording by then, having less than a minute on my clock. By the end, my opponent had little more time left. I had a small advantage most of the time, butwas unable to build on it to create anything significant. In the end, I found a fork which gained material, and checkmated him with bishop and pawns.
