A very fortunate win for Bedford who had lost positions on the bottom two boards. This resulted in Ravi turning down a draw because the state of the match looked so dire. Michael was the first to finish when he turned his game round in dramatic fashion.
 
Then on Board 2, where Paul had failed to gain any advantage, Michael Joseph carelessly failed to make his 35th move before the time control.
Ravi lost but Steve had a won R and P ending though much less time than his opponent. Andrew Perkins wriggled effectively and Steve had to liquidate into a drawn position to avoid losing on time.
