Toby Cox has qualified to join the National Junior Chess Squad, as a result of two good performances at “major” tournaments (namely, the National Chess Junior Squad Championships last weekend and the British Rapidplay Championships last November). He joins his brother Ben, who also recently qualified to squad as a result of his performances at the English Junior Closed Championship and the British Rapidplay Championships.
